Horus Lodge No. 3155 was warranted on 22nd February 1906 and consecrated on 14th May 1906 at New Gaiety Restaurant, Strand, London.
Since then, the Lodge moved its meetings to Holborn Restaurant, High Holborn in 1911, Café Monaco on Shaftesbury Avenue in 1916 and finally to Freemasons’ Hall, Great Queen Street in 1942 where it continues to meet to this day.
Horus Lodge No. 3155 is both a Hallstone Lodge and a founding Lodge of Metropolitan Grand Lodge.
The Masonic Craft Beer Society took custody of the warrant of Horus Lodge No. 3155 in May 2022.
The Lodge is be Non-Progressive, meaning that a Worshipful Master will be selected each year by the Lodge Committee, and the Master will select his officers. There is no expectation on Members that they will need to take an Office, if they simply wish to enjoy being a part of the Lodge.
At each meeting, we host a different craft brewery as part of the event, and offer a tasting experience to Brethren who wish to partake. The ‘featured brewery’ of the meeting then operates a cash bar after the festive board, which we open up to non-Masonic friends and family later in the afternoon.
Lodge meetings are held at Freemasons’ Hall, Great Queen Street, London. Dining is currently hosted at The Grand Connaught Rooms, Great Queen Street, London.
Meetings take place twice yearly.
The Installation is on the third Saturday in May, and the other regular meeting is on the third Saturday in October.
The Lodge is usually tyled at 10:45am
To join Horus Lodge No. 3155, you will be required to pay a £30-50 joining fee, and your first year’s annual subscription of £130-150 upfront. Annual subs will be £130-150 per year after this.
We offer payment plans which will allow you to pay your annual subs annually, quarterly and monthly by Direct Debit. More details will be provided to you once we have received your formal application.
